Process Engineer for Highly Automated Dairy

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a process engineer, you will have overall responsibility for process and automation systems in a technologically advanced production environment. You will gradually take over responsibility from a senior specialist who is retiring and become the technical key person in PLC, process flows, and system stability. The role is operational and close to the business, with a significant mandate to drive improvements and projects that genuinely impact production. The position is a direct employment with the client company, where Academic Work is responsible for the recruitment process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

• Own, manage, and optimize process and automation systems from loading to packaging
• Drive improvement and investment projects within automation, equipment, and processes
• Perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and urgent interventions during downtime
• Update and maintain PLC systems and hardware (ABB 800xA, Siemens TIA Portal)
• Ensure technical documentation, backups, and system availability
• Coach colleagues and collaborate cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and suppliers

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has an engineering degree in automation, process, or equivalent
• Has at least 2-3 years of practical experience in technology and automation within, for example, the food, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industry
• Has documented experience in PLC/automation within the process industry
• Has practical experience with ABB 800xA and/or Siemens S7 TIA Portal
• Can drive improvement and maintenance work independently
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have

• Experience with MS SQL or equivalent database management
